The Anti-Cruelty Society
The Anti-Cruelty Society, one of Chicago’s oldest animal welfare organizations, is at the forefront of building healthy and happy communities where pets and people thrive together. The reach and impact of their mission relies on the generosity of donors, sponsors, and volunteers.

- Social Media Marketing
The Anti-Cruelty Society’s largest annual fundraiser, BARK, helps shelter, feed, and care for tens of thousands of animals. It is an essential component of being at the forefront of animal welfare. GoldStar was brought in to help raise awareness across the Chicagoland area to boost registration, garner media coverage, and promote authority.
Goldstar developed a comprehensive outreach plan that involved engaging dog community groups in person and on social media. We also enlisted the support of local businesses and elected officials to mobilize their constituents. By engaging these groups we were able to reach thousands of residents in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. GoldStar also launched a media campaign to generate excitement and awareness surrounding BARK.
- BARK raised over $175,000
- Through our social media outreach, we were able to post on 20 dog community groups that had over 62,000 followers
- GSC was able to get Toni Preckwinkle, Cook County President, to attend BARK, marking the first time in ACS history of having an elected official attend
